Accountability and Change for Local 479
Starts With You
I’ve been a member of IATSE for 24 years, and a member of Local 479 since 2018.
My craft is Costume Tailoring and stitching, working off-set to make and alter clothing pieces for actors. I am also the Secretary/Treasurer for the Local’s 2023 Constitution Committee, the Negotiations Committee Costume Craft Co-Chair, and a member of the Scholarship Committee.
I would like to be on our Local’s Board of Trustees because I want to make sure the union’s financial resources are properly accounted for and spent/invested wisely and legally. Before I started my career in the film industry, I worked for more than 25 years in theatre and stage productions. For the majority of that time, I worked at Seattle Repertory and Village Theatre. I was also a proud member of the IATSE Theatrical Wardrobe Union, Local 887 in Seattle, from 1999-2018. While in Seattle, I frequently worked in Local 887’s office and served as the Interim Vice President, as well as a member of the Finance and Contract Negotiations Committees. My eye for precise record keeping and detail has aided in many aspects of my career .
